Our Royal Mail Reading Sales Team need to generate self employed owner-driver couriers to carry out courier work in Reading.
We were established in 2007 and have gone from strength to strength since. Royal Mail Sameday cover ad-hoc or scheduled Sameday deliveries, ad-hoc or scheduled multidrop or contract deliveries in Reading and nationwide. We are a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Royal Mail.
Our main focus is on Customer satisfaction and this has helped us attract and retain a wide portfolio of clients including: The Health Protection Agency, Lloyds Bank, Post Office Ltd, Santander, Amazon, Siemens IT Solutions, Mercedes Benz, Coventry Building Society to name but a few. We work with many small and medium-sized companies as well as various parts of the Royal Mail Group including Parcelforce Worldwide. The Royal Mail Sameday client portfolio is growing fast and includes external customers as well as other parts of the Royal Mail Group.
Job details are electronically sent from our servers, directly to a PDA handset. The courier confirms acceptance of the booking and this information is sent back to the customer via the handset system within seconds. The PDA is also used for Proof of Delivery (POD) signature capture, which is also forwarded both to the booking client and the Royal Mail Sameday control team. When the drivers are logged onto the 'Supa–Trak' system, which is hosted on to the PDA handset, our servers are able to track and identify their exact location and any available self employed courier work will be offered to the nearest driver.
The Royal Mail Sameday Driver Management Team deals with Driver Recruitment and provides support to Drivers. The Operation's Team operates twenty four/seven all year round and deals with customers from the initial booking right through to the PODs. The Account Team provides support to Customers as well as helping the Drivers with any financial issue. We manage the entire country including Reading from our office is based in Peterborough.
